VOOM Carpool for Kids is the brainchild of frustrated parents who were carpooling multiple times a day and consequently recognized many inefficiencies in the carpool planning process.
VOOM Carpool’s founder, Debbie Spina Piperno, is the mother of three young children. Debbie noted that parents were often surprised by the number of carpooling opportunities missed simply because they hadn’t realized who else was going to the same event. Debbie’s time spent as a PTA President and community volunteer placed her in the company of parents who were often complaining about the same problem; the constant struggle to find a carpool for their kids.
Having formerly worked for over thirteen years in both cancer research and drug development and armed with degrees in both Engineering Science and Pharmaceutical Science, Debbie was able to recognize that a solution to this problem was not out of her reach. VOOM Carpool for Kids is the culmination of years of market research and hard efforts. To help bring the dream of VOOM Carpool to life, Debbie utilized TeliApp, a software design and development firm located in New Jersey.
